AN INVITATION TO
AUTHENTICITY
AS PRACTICE
Guided by Fire

This is a space to lay down the roles you carry.
To rest from certainty.
To be held—without needing to explain yourself.
6–11 JULY 2026
BALI
6-day immersion with Cat Kabira
Authenticity asks:
What is true here?
What is mine to carry?
What must be tended together?
—with land, ritual, rest, and relational friction all doing their work
This is not a retreat for fixing, becoming, or performing wellness.
It is an immersion for women ready to sit close to truth—to allow what is false, inherited, or no longer needed, to be burned away, making space for what is real to emerge.
Over 6 days in Bali, guided by the legendary Cat Kabira, we gather in an intimate circle to explore authenticity as a lived practice, informed by the element of Fire—as cleanser, illuminator, and agent of rebirth.
Fire teaches us how to:
Tell the truth without cruelty
Release without collapse
Transform without bypassing
Held through Kabira’s embodiment methodology and informed by Balinese philosophy, Fire is approached as an internal process — worked with slowly, respectfully, and in service of nervous system safety.
This is transformation that is paced, grounded, and embodied.
Not dramatic. Not forced. Real.

Cat Kabira
Cat Kabira is an embodiment guide whose work centres the body as a site of truth, memory, and renewal. Based in Bali for nearly two decades, she has spent over 20 years supporting women to build nervous system safety, metabolise emotion, and reconnect with their innate vitality.
A founding teacher of The Yoga Barn in Ubud and the creator of Yoga Energetics and the Kabira Energy School, Cat has trained and taught thousands internationally. Her work draws from yoga, somatic practice, craniosacral therapy, energetic healing, and spiritual psychology, woven into a methodology she calls Living Therapy — a practice that treats the body not as something to fix, but as an intelligent guide toward coherence and aliveness.
Cat’s approach is shaped by lived experience. Beginning her practice as a pathway through trauma and eating disorders, she understands healing as slow, embodied, and relational. Her facilitation is grounded in pacing, consent, and deep respect for each participant’s timing. She specialises in supporting highly sensitive women and empaths to develop inner containment, clarity, and self-trust.
Within this immersion, Cat holds Fire as an internal process rather than spectacle — supporting participants to digest experience, release what is complete, and access renewal that is steady, embodied, and sustainable.
Her work invites a simple return: to the body, to truth, and to the quiet power of being fully here. catkabira.com
What we'll explore
Authenticity as Self-Attunement
Listening beneath the noise of expectation. Reconnecting with the body as an intelligent guide. Making space for desire, grief, rage, pleasure, and intuition—without rushing to resolve or refine them.
Authenticity in Relationship
Practising truth with care. Exploring boundaries, consent, and honest communication. Using Fire as a mirror—revealing what strengthens connection and what
must be released.
Authenticity as Collective Practice
Moving beyond individual healing into shared responsibility. Honouring truth as something that requires collective holding, accountability,
and care.

THE SUMBERKIMA STORY
Where the island remembers itself.
Where ancient wisdom meets sustainable luxury.
Where you can immerse in authentic Bali.
Set on lands traditionally stewarded by the Bali Aga (Bali Mula) peoples of Buleleng Regency, this next Immersion Unyoked unfolds in Northwest Bali — a quieter, wilder edge of the island where culture, nature and sea remain deeply intertwined.
This region holds Bali’s original rhythm. Less touched. Less crowded. Still listening.
Sumberkima Hill Retreat offers a place to arrive fully. Private villas rest high above the coastline, opening to sweeping views of mountains, ocean horizons, and distant volcanoes.
Northwest Bali is known for its waterfalls and highland forests (Munduk), its small fishing villages, and the extraordinary marine life of Menjangan Island, protected within West Bali National Park. Along the coast, boats come and go with the tides. Daily offerings appear quietly at doorways and temples. Ceremonies continue — not as performance, but as life.
At Sumberkima, nourishment is integral. Farm-to-table meals are prepared with produce from the retreat’s organic farm, served across intimate restaurants designed to honour simplicity and flavour. Connection extends beyond the table through Metamorfosa, the retreat’s reforestation NGO, offering a way to give back to the land that holds us.
Rest is deeply supported — with spa treatments, sauna, and ice baths, spaces designed for restoration and integration.
With diverse accommodations, thoughtful amenities, curated experiences and expansive views, this immersion invites you to step out of urgency and back into relationship — with land, culture, body, and self.
This is Bali, unyoked.
Fire as Healing Modality

A Practice of Purification,
Balance & Renewal
In Balinese culture, Fire is understood as Agni—a sacred force of purification, transformation, and balance. Fire is not used casually or symbolically but held with reverence as part of a wider ecosystem of elements, ancestors, land, and spirit.
In this immersion, Fire is approached with respect and restraint.
We do not replicate Balinese ceremonies, nor claim cultural authority that is not ours. Instead, we allow the philosophy of Fire—as a force of clarity, purification, and renewal—to quietly inform how the immersion is held.

Fire as a Guiding Principle
(Not a Ritual)
In this immersion, Fire is experienced through the body, not imposed upon it.
Guided by Cat Kabira’s embodiment methodology, Fire is approached as an internal intelligence—the body’s innate capacity to digest experience, regulate emotion, and restore vitality when safety is present.
Rather than invoking intensity or release, we work with Fire as:
-
Metabolic (how the body processes emotion and experience)
-
Regulatory (supporting nervous system safety and pacing)
-
Clarifying (helping truth emerge without overwhelm)
-
Transformative over time, not instant or forced

Embodiment Before
Expression
Cat Kabira’s work centres the understanding that:
-
The body reveals truth gradually
-
Healing cannot be rushed or demanded
-
Emotional intensity is not the same as integration
Fire, in this context, supports:
-
Gentle clearing of stored tension and emotion
-
Building capacity to stay present with sensation
-
Allowing anger, grief, and desire to be felt, not discharged
-
Strengthening inner containment before expression

Fire, Balance & Nervous
System Safety
In alignment with Balinese understandings of balance—and Cat’s trauma-aware approach—Fire is always held in relationship with:
-
Earth (grounding, stability)
-
Water (softening, emotional flow)
-
Air (breath, spaciousness)
-
Rest (integration and repair)
Fire is not dominant.
It is tempered, allowing transformation to unfold sustainably.
Cultural Care & Responsibility
This immersion is held with awareness that we are guests on Balinese land.
We acknowledge local custodianship and honour place without extraction
We do not appropriate language, ritual, or ceremonial forms
We prioritise humility, listening, and ethical facilitation
Where appropriate, local staff and practices are respected and supported
Fire, in this context, is not something we “use”—it is something we learn from quietly.
The Immersion Experience
-
Daily embodiment and somatic practice with Cat Kabira
-
Fire-based ritual and inquiry facilitated with cultural sensitivity
-
Long-form dialogue and circle work
-
Time for rest, integration, and solitude
-
Shared meals as ceremony and grounding
This immersion prioritises listening over performance, truth over harmony, and depth over display.
Who is this for?
This immersion is for women who:
-
Feel the call to shed roles, identities, or stories that no longer fit
-
Are curious about Fire as a force of clarity, not destruction
-
Want to practise honesty without self-abandonment
-
Value depth, containment, and ethical facilitation
-
Are ready for renewal that is embodied, not rushed
No prior experience is required—only willingness to arrive with openness and respect.
