10 Day Sacred Desert Journey

Whether in shared stillness or joyful celebration,

this is an invitation to slow down, tune in, and reconnect to what matters most.

A gathering of women, on sacred land.
A desert bloom of resilience, creativity, and hope.

For renewal of spirit and purpose.

Begin and end your journey held in the embrace of a small circle of women — a 10-day soul-stirring passage through the wild heart of India, rooted in ritual, connection, and the quiet power of the feminine.

This sacred journey marks a special milestone: ten years of YOKE — a decade of sacred rebellion, beauty, and community. We gather to honour this with depth and joy, weaving the YOKE spirit into every step, every circle, every shared breath beneath the desert sky.

We open in the ancient blue city of Jodhpur, where we stay for two nights in a traveller’s dream haveli, feasting on grandeur, colour, and heritage. These opening days offer space to ground, orient, and gently arrive — preparing our hearts and bodies for the deeper unfolding to come.

From there, we journey into the golden vastness of the Thar Desert to take part in Utsava Maa — a sacred, all-women’s festival honouring land, lineage, and the rise of feminine wisdom.

For seven unforgettable days, you’ll gather with local tribal women and international sisters in a living celebration of ceremony, story, and ecological reverence. Expect workshops, shared meals, sacred rituals, and cultural exchange under the desert sky.

We complete our journey back in intimate circle, setting out on a camel safari and spending our final night beneath the stars — a quiet offering to the Earth and to each other. A moment to integrate and honour.

This is a celebration. A remembrance. A homecoming.

The circle is forming. Your place is waiting.

Utsava Maa: Celebration of the Great Mother
Divinity. Ecology. Leadership.

Hosted within the peaceful grounds of Shri Jasnath Asan—a 500-year-old ashram nestled in the Marwar region of western Rajasthan—Utsava Maa invites women from around the world to gather in sacred purpose. Surrounded by desert landscapes, ancient temples, and vibrant rural life, this revered site is one of the oldest spiritual centres of the Nath yogi tradition, offering a powerful setting for reflection, transformation, and connection.

Now in its 5th year, Utsava Maa is a festival-conference rooted in eco-feminist values, designed to inspire, educate, and empower women at the intersection of divinity, ecology, and leadership. Together, we explore how inner and outer worlds are deeply entwined—how healing the self is inseparable from healing the Earth. Through ritual, dialogue, creative practice, and embodied learning, we begin to unravel the obstacles that hold us back from living fully in service to life, cultivating a legacy that will uplift generations to come.

The Marwar region is home to a rich tapestry of Indigenous and nomadic communities, including the Rabari, Bishnoi, Bhil, Meghwal, Kalbelia, and Garasiya peoples—each holding unique traditions, artforms, spiritual practices, and deep ecological knowledge. Many of these communities are matriarchal or women-led, especially in the realms of song, craft, farming, and healing.

Throughout the festival, you'll have the rare opportunity to connect with local tribal women—weavers, dancers, musicians, storytellers, and farmers—whose ancestral knowledge and earth-based practices are woven into the heart of Utsava Maa. This is not just a gathering. It is a living celebration of feminine wisdom, a sanctuary for renewal, and a powerful step toward reimagining our future—together.

Rajasthan is a living prayer — come trace her sacred lines, feel her pulse, and rise with the rhythm of Desert She.
